Advantages of offset printing compared to other printing methods include:

  • Offset printing produces consistent high image quality.
  • Offset printing produces sharper images and cleaner type more easily than letterpress printing, because the rubber blanket conforms to the texture of the printing surface.
  • Offset printing is an inexpensive method to produce high quality printing.
  • Offset printing is a cost-effective method of producing commercial printing quantities, because production of plates is quick and easy.
  • Offset printing is more durable and less likely to smudge than digital printing, because offset printing uses inks that are absorbed by the paper, not toner that lies upon it.
