Brochure Printing Choices

You will find a huge selection of colors are available for brochure printing (full color). However, often the most cost-effective brochures are designed using just one or two colors. Occasionally, gray-scale brochures end up generating better results than colored brochures.

Always keep in mind that the cost should be evaluated when selecting colors for your brochure. More colors usually means a higher printing cost, but at the same time, if your brochure is in need of many colors to generate results and improve your business, then the desired outcome is worth the investment.

After deciding on the colors, you will need to choose the type of paper for your brochure. Paper is also available in many different colors and many weights too. If you are trying to go green in your business or organization, then you may look at using recycled paper. Recycled paper is an ideal way to cut down on the amount of natural resources you use and it’s also a wonderful way to promote yourself these days as more and more people are becoming environmentally conscious. Use recycled paper when doing brochure printing, postcard printing or pamphlet printing, and you will certainly stand out with your audience.

Pamphlet Design and Printing Tips

The first tip to remember when creating a pamphlet is to keep the design consistent. Keeping the margins and headers the same throughout helps create a professional image which will ultimately help deliver your message.  This type of consistency can best be achieved through the use/design of a template.

Try to keep your the number of different fonts to a minimum.  Arbitrarily using several font types and/or sizes will only lessen the appeal of your pamphlet by causing unnecessary distraction. Also, if possible avoid italicized typefaces as they often slow down the reader.

The body of your publication should be sized between 9 and 11 points. A good rule of thumb is to set title or leading text two or three points larger than the body text size. Most people scan/read from left to right.  So do not make it difficult for them by inflicting irregular shaped blocks of type. For maximum readability use headlines and sub-headings.

Graphics - The graphics and pictures in your pamphlet are very important.  Don't get carried away though as this does not have to be extravagant.  It has to be just enough to get your message across and give the reader some visual representation of what message you are trying to express.

The cover of your  pamphlet is probably the most important. It sets the tone and makes people want to proceed to read it. Let the reader know what the pamphlet is about and who publishes it. Make the title unique so readers can identify it at a glance.
