You will find a huge selection of colors are available for brochure printing (full color). However, often the most cost-effective brochures are designed using just one or two colors. Occasionally, gray-scale brochures end up generating better results than colored brochures.

Always keep in mind that the cost should be evaluated when selecting colors for your brochure. More colors usually means a higher printing cost, but at the same time, if your brochure is in need of many colors to generate results and improve your business, then the desired outcome is worth the investment.

After deciding on the colors, you will need to choose the type of paper for your brochure. Paper is also available in many different colors and many weights too. If you are trying to go green in your business or organization, then you may look at using recycled paper. Recycled paper is an ideal way to cut down on the amount of natural resources you use and it’s also a wonderful way to promote yourself these days as more and more people are becoming environmentally conscious. Use recycled paper when doing brochure printing, postcard printing or pamphlet printing, and you will certainly stand out with your audience.

Going Green in order to be more earth conscious, does not mean you have to completely alter your direct mail marketing.  However, there are small things that can be done that will not only make you more Green and feel better about what you are doing, but can often save you money as well.

From the very beginning of the campaign process, all the way to the last decision, direct mail marketers can implement green ideas.  One of the most important and effective methods of going green regariding direct mail is maintaining a clean (accurate and up to date) mailing list.   By avoiding unnecessary printing, processing, and delivery of duplicate or bad addresses, you can save money and reduce associated wastes.

Another opportunity in the green direct marketing field is using environmentally conscious paper and inks.   Due to the increase in awareness of global resources, there are now many earth-friendly options when choosing your paper type and printer inks.  Using paper and inks that are made of alternative materials helps reduce the amount of dangerous and wasteful substances.  Envelopes can now also be printed with a "Please Recycle" logo for no extra charge.

"Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" - now, more than ever, it is important to find ways to integrate recycling in  our marketing campaigns.  Catalogs, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, and flyers are often forgotten in the recycling containers. They are prime candidates for recycling.  Being conscious of what it truly means to 'reduce, reuse, and recycle,' can have a big impact on the earth's most vital resources.

These simple green strategies along with many others can be slowly incorporated into your direct marketing campaign.
